This tour takes you across the Slovenian/Italian border on a short ride to Italy, where you will visit the city of Trieste. The historical city of Trieste, the main port of Austro-Hungarian monarchy, is a multi-ethnic city, where 95 different ethnic groups live side by side. You will start your exploration of Trieste with a panoramic coach tour to admire some of the city’s most precious monuments. On the walking tour you will see some beautiful Catholic churches. The Ortodox church is one of the most beautiful places of worship in Central Europe, built in a Syrian stile. You will continue to the Miramare castle, spectacularly built on a Karstic rocky promontory in 1856 by order of Maximilian I. It was a gift to his consort, Charlotte of Belgium. At the end of the visit you may take a time to enjoy a real Italian cappuccino in the castle garden. Anyway, Trieste is also known as homeland of coffee culture (espresso, cappuccino, macchiato, capo in b). The tour ends with panoramic ride back to the passenger terminal.
